The Black Women’s Liberatory Leadership (BWLL) Praxis Model is a framework for organizing the necessary characteristics of leaders that are responsive to unprecedented, precarious times with a vision of hope and possibility beyond which, given the current circumstances, they have no logical reason to expect. In this space, we dwell in the transformative power of hope and things not yet seen.
BWLL Praxis is grounded in a scholarly framework that distills the time-tested leadership practices of Black women across generations into an accessible model for leaders seeking transformative alternatives to traditional power structures.
This approach offers pathways to leadership that prioritize human and environmental wellness while achieving meaningful outcomes—moving beyond white supremacist, patriarchal, and imperialist paradigms.
